Our client is the largest self storage company in Europe. They provide professional tailor-made storage solutions to severals European countries.

Junior Construction Manager based in Antony (92)

He/she will oversee the construction of all assigned construction projects. He/she will in close consultation with his managers manage/participate in the building design which will include: construction scheduling, the review of proposals and change orders, collaboration with internal/external Project Managers, solving day-to-day construction issues; coordination of the final handover inspection and the sign off of each projects snagging list.

 He/she will report to the Construction Manger France.

 Responsibilities

In close consultation with Construction Manager, he/she will:

  • Provide technical advice to the technical feasibility, design, cost and risk of projects.
  • Advise on the need to appoint specialist consultants in order to mitigate project risks.
  • Lead and manage any specialist consultants in the production of project deliverables.
  • Assist the development manager by producing the documents required for Board Approval such as:
    • Cost Plan
    • Construction Program
    • Risk Register
  • Provide Design Management of technically complex projects where required to produce a Concept Design.
    • Provide buildability advice regarding construction issues such as; flooding & drainage, landscape design, architectural & structural design, sustainability etc.
    • Advise on the need to appoint specialist consultants in order to mitigate project risks and to support the planning application.
    • Manage any specialist consultants in the production of project deliverables.
  • Aid with the delivery phase of construction and technical investment projects.
  • Ensure the Professional Team draws up the tender documentation, in accordance with the standard specification and budget.
  • Complying with the company procurement rules, select the contracts and organise the contracts signature.
  • Ensure the construction project is carried out to the agreed time, budget and quality.
  • Ensure the project is managed safely and in accordance with the local regulations regarding Health and Safety on Construction sites.
  • Comply with the company handover procedure.
    • Ensure the construction project closeout including a post construction review.
    • Maintain the weekly reporting regime

Profil recherché

You have a minimum of 5 years construction experience ideally at least one new build in retail/logistic environment. Construction experience on the customer side (as opposed to the contractor) is considered an advantage.
